A leading healthcare organization is seeking an on-call administrative support staff member for the nursing unit. Responsibilities include patient processing, managing communication, and maintaining medical records. Candidates should have a high school diploma and BLS certification. Job Summary:
This position supports and coordinates the administrative activities of the nursing unit, potentially covering multiple units as per Medical Center protocol.

Compliance and Competencies:
Uphold Kaiser Permanente policies, demonstrate professionalism, communicate effectively, participate in problem-solving, prioritize work, and comply with regulations.
Documentation:
Accurately transcribe physician orders, maintain medical records, and respond to stat requests.
Clinical Outcomes:
Apply standard precautions, respond to urgent requests, utilize computer systems effectively, and ensure accurate census and patient transfer coordination.
Customer Service:
Provide culturally sensitive service, address patient concerns, maintain confidentiality, and ensure a clean work environment.
National Language and Team Commitment:
Demonstrate effective communication, teamwork, accountability, and participate in professional development.
Fiscal Responsibility:
Minimize overtime, identify system improvements, and utilize resources efficiently.
Pay Grade: 14
Basic Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED; successful completion of medical terminology course.
License: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Additional Requirements:
Proficiency with PCs, office equipment, and software applications; ability to read, write, and understand English; typing speed of 30 wpm; ability to learn policies, procedures, and software; clear communication skills.

This is an on-call position with variable days and hours, including every other weekend.
