Lakewood-Nursing-and-Reha is seeking a dedicated Ward Clerk to manage and organize the medical records in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This full-time role requires attention to detail and the ability to work with healthcare teams.

You will maintain EMR and MS Office documentation, protect patient information under HIPAA, and coordinate with departments to ensure accurate records. High school diploma required; degree in medical records preferred; one year of experience

Competenze

• High School Diploma required; Degree in Medical Records preferred.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Mansioni

• Implement policies and procedures to maintain the medical record system in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Protect medical record information from loss, defacing, or destruction before the retention period ends.
• Identify and address incomplete, late, and inaccurate documentation.
• Assist healthcare professionals by ensuring that all medical records are accurate, up to date, and properly filed.
• Computerize medical record data as required and maintain electronic documentation systems.
• Coordinate with all departments to facilitate smooth documentation flow and accuracy.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
