United Health Services (UHS) Infusion Center in New York's Southern Tier is seeking an Urgent Care Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-focused care, perform assessments, administer medications, and support infusion therapies while adhering to NY State Nurse Practice Act and UHS policies.

The position offers a day shift with 24 hours per week and a pay range of $37.00–$55.50 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• RN license (New York) is required.
• At least 1 year of health care experience; proficiency in RN curriculum areas.
• Preferred: walk-in/primary care/specialty care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in infusion center per NY State Nurse Practice Act and organizational policies.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during treatments and procedures.
• Maintain compliance with professional standards and ongoing professional development.

Position Overview

The Urgent Care Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities, prevention of illness and injury, and the alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response and through advocacy in the care of individuals and families. The RN is responsible and accountable for compliance to all standards of practice and professional development in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services Hospitals and Nursing Division policies, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the Bill of Patient Rights. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care.

Primary Department, Division, or Unit: UHS Infusion Center

Primary Work Shift: Day

Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 24

Compensation Range: $37.00 - $55.50 per hour, depending on experience

Education/Experience

• Minimum Required: Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing.


• Minimum Required: At least 1 year experience in health care setting with evidence of having obtained proficiency in those areas emphasized in the Registered Nurse curriculum.


• Preferred: Previous experience in a walk in / primary care/ specialty care setting.

License/Certification

• Minimum Required: Current NY State RN license.


• Minimum Required: Documentation of current CPR certification required within 1 week of start of employment.


• Preferred: Office specific- IE: Oncology Cert, Lactation Consultant , Wound / Ostomy Cert
