Job summary

Corewell Health is expanding its Walk-In Clinic team across Southwest Michigan. Opportunities exist at multiple sites including Royalton, Niles, Bridgman, and Dowagiac.

As a Medical Assistant you will support providers, coordinate patient flow, perform clinical and administrative tasks, and help deliver high-quality, patient-centered care from arrival through discharge. You will assist with vital signs, examinations, treatments, specimen collection, and EHR documentation while upholding safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• Certification within 120 days: CMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA/NRCMA/AMT.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days: AHA or ARC.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates efficient patient flow by preparing patients for visits and providing services as directed by providers.
• Obtains and documents patient information including vital signs and medical history updates.
• Assists with examinations, procedures, and treatments by preparing patients, rooms, supplies, and equipment.
• Prepares, administers, and documents medications within scope of practice and as directed by the provider.
• Maintains accurate electronic health record documentation and coordinates patient information with the care team.
• Performs administrative duties to support clinic operations, including appointment tasks and patient communication.
• Greets patients and families with dignity, respect, and exceptional customer service.
• Collaborates with providers and staff to ensure continuity of care and efficient clinic operations.
• Demonstrates commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and organizational policies.
• Participates in ongoing education to maintain competency and growth.
