Job summary

San Francisco Waldorf School is seeking a part-time Preschool Program Assistant to support the lead teacher with 2-4 year olds. Schedule is 7:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. on weekdays, with occasional weekend hours for setup.

Waldorf Teacher Training (completed or in progress) and 12 ECE units are required, along with fingerprinting and TB assessment under CA licensing. Pay is $32.50 per hour; no benefits beyond city ordinances. SFWS is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Waldorf Teacher Training and/or enrollment in a Waldorf Teacher Training Program.
• At least 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units.
• Fingerprinting and TB assessment required under California licensing standards.

Responsibilities

• Hold class with a sense of order and rhythm.
• Attend to physical, emotional, and individual needs of 2-4 year olds.
• Create and maintain classroom mood.
• Supervise indoor/outdoor play and cleanup.
• Prepare classroom materials and weekly snacks.
• Organize special activities and crafts.
• Participate in circle time with seasonal poems, songs, stories.
