San Francisco Waldorf School is seeking a Preschool Program Assistant—either a trained Waldorf Early Childhood teacher or a candidate in the Waldorf Teacher Training Program. The role supports the classroom rhythm, attends to young children’s needs, and helps create a harmonious environment.

The position is part-time, 7:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. on weekdays with optional weekend hours for setup. Fingerprinting and TB assessment are required by state licensing standards.

Competenze

• Waldorf Teacher Training completed or in progress.
• 12 Early Childhood Education units completed or in progress.

Mansioni

• Hold the class with a sense of order and rhythm.
• Attend to the physical, emotional, and individual needs of 2–4 year olds.
• Create and maintain classroom mood.
• Supervise indoor/outdoor play, clean-up time, bathroom, hand washing, etc.
• Care for and preparation of classroom materials.
• Plan and prepare weekly snacks and track snack supplies.
• Organize and carry out special activities and help with craft projects.
• Participate in circle time with seasonal poems, songs and stories.
