Central Coast Waldorf School, on the Central Coast of California, is seeking an enthusiastic Middle School Math teacher who brings joy, warmth, and creativity to the classroom. Central Coast Waldorf School is a vibrant school with 100 children, from preschool through 8th grade. We are a 17-year-old school with healthy enrollment, strong community support and we are certified by WECAN and AWSNA. We offer specialty programs in Spanish, Math, Handwork, Movement, Strings Ensemble, and Education Support. Location:Our school is located in Los Osos, a charming bayside community just 15 minutes from San Luis Obispo. Families from surrounding coastal towns such as Morro Bay, Cayucos, Cambria, San Luis Obispo and greater San Luis Obispo county, make up our school community. The area offers abundant outdoor activities, including beach excursions, hiking, biking, surfing and exploration of a nearby state park. It is beautiful here!
Position: Middle School Math Subject Teacher
Type: Part-Time ( 6 - 8 hours/week)
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per class period
Position: Part-Time Main Lesson Teacher
Type: Part-time
Duration: 2, 3-week blocks throughout the 2026-27 school year
Time: 8:30am - 10:30am
Pay: T.B.D.

A Waldorf Teacher certificate, California credential or experience teaching
Proficiency in mathematical concepts from 5th - 8th grade as well as be well versed in high school mathematics
Experience teaching middle school students mathematics
Familiarity with, or interest in, Waldorf education and its approach to mathematics
Ability to foster a positive and creative learning environment
Strong classroom management and student engagement skills
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community
