Chicago Waldorf School in Chicago seeks a Middle School Class Teacher for the 2027-2028 school year. The role centers on planning and delivering the daily, weekly, and block rhythm lessons in alignment with Waldorf pedagogy, addressing the needs of the class and individuals, and deepening understanding of Anthroposophy.

Candidates should hold at least an undergraduate degree with Waldorf teacher training (or ongoing) and be proficient in the arts, open to mentoring and further training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with Waldorf teacher training completed or in progress.
• Strong arts background.
• Willing to mentor and pursue ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily, weekly, and block rhythm lessons for the year.
• Integrate Waldorf pedagogy and Anthroposophy in the classroom.
• Collaborate with specialist teachers and Learning Support for student needs.
• Design and lead class projects, trips and performances.
• Support social-emotional wellness with the Social Work team.
