This role involves serving as waitstaff for the Le Jeune Chef restaurant and special catered events, with an emphasis on wine selection and service.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Successful completion of the dining room management course, or six months' work experience as waitstaff. Required
  • Safe Alcohol Service Certification and completion of RAMP Server/Seller Training course paid by the college. Required
  • Full service waitstaff experience. Preferred
Required Skills and Abilities
  • General knowledge of the food service industry
  • Knowledge of proper serving techniques for foods and beverages
  • Knowledge of wines and wine service or willingness to learn
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Interpersonal skills to interact courteously with students, faculty, staff, and the public
  • Knowledge of food sanitation, fire prevention, and accident prevention methods
  • Ability to set up and maintain dining and service areas
  • Serve wines, assist with wine selection, take orders, and process guest checks
  • Assist with serving patrons, answer questions, and support team members
  • Enter guest checks into the POS system
  • Assist with setup, serving, and cleanup at various locations
  • Replenish supplies and recite menu details confidently
  • Prepare and serve cocktails
Additional Responsibilities
  • Setup and maintain beverage service areas
  • Maintain neat grooming and hygiene
  • Some heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required

Compensation is $12.75 per hour. This description is not an employment contract and may be amended by the College at any time.
