Job description

Overview

Following the service manual, this person will serve as waitstaff for the Le Jeune Chef restaurant and for special catered events.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

  • Successful completion of Dining Room Management course, or three months' work experience as waitstaff. Required

EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge of College and local area events. Preferred

ABILITIES AND SKILLS

  • Ability to follow oral and written direction. Required
  • Sensitivity to the expectations of patrons and the public. Required
Responsibilities
  • Arrange, set up, and serve guests.
  • Set up and clean service equipment and assigned station(s).
  • Serve beverages and wines, including assisting patrons with wine selections.
  • Serve and explain the food items to the patrons.
  • Keep tables and serving area stocked, cleaned, and in good repair.
  • Properly fill out and handle guest checks.
  • Perform duties of service attendant, including assisting waitstaff, entering food checks into register, transporting dishes and trays, assisting with pastry and flambe cart, and bussing tables.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Familiarize self with menu, including pronunciation, preparation, ingredients, and garniture.
Physical Standards and Special Job Features
  • Neat and clean grooming and hygiene habits.
  • Some heavy lifting and carrying not to exceed 50 lbs. may be required.
Pay Transparency

$12.75 per hour.
