Job summary

Jeffrey A. Miller Hospitality Group is seeking seasonal front-of-house servers for weddings and events at our 16 venues in the tri-state area. Typical shifts run from 1pm to midnight, about 9–10 hours, with shifts paying $150–$200 per event and occasional cash tips from clients.

Applicants should have reliable transportation to venues, be able to lift up to 20 lbs, and stand for long periods. Opportunities exist for internal promotions to more senior roles.

• Reliable transportation to multiple venues within the tri-state area.

Responsibilities

• Unload equipment from truck and set up tables, chairs, etc.
• Serve guests by butlering and bussing during cocktail hour and dinner.
• Attend to guests’ needs to provide hospitality.
• Clean up, break down, and pack equipment after events.

Please view our short video on why JAM is a great place to work! https://vimeo.com/1012489292Responsibilities & DutiesUnpacking equipment from our truck and setting up tables, chairs, etc.Serving guests by butlering and bussing food throughout cocktail hour and dinner.Providing hospitality by attending to guests’ needs.Cleanup, breakdown, and packing of our equipment used during the event.RequirementsYou should be able to drive yourself to our venues (45-min or less).Physical requirements include being able to lift 20 lbs and being on your feet for the duration of an average 9-hour shift (there are breaks and time for staff to eat).A typical wedding shift is 10 hours, from 1pm to midnight.The typical shift is $150 - $200. Although it’s not guaranteed, you’ll often receive cash tips from the client at the end of a shift.
