Job summary

Friends Homes, Inc. is hiring Servers in Greensboro, NC. The role includes providing food and beverages to guests, opening and closing duties, resetting tables, and assisting in food preparation. Candidates should be able to stand/walk for extended periods and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a server; capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
• English literacy (speaking, reading, writing) to communicate and complete tasks.
• Preferred: customer service experience.
• Preferred: knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Preferred: experience with POS systems and strong interpersonal skills.
• Preferred: high school diploma or equivalent.

What You'll Do:

As a Server at Friends Homes, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Serving food and beverages to assigned tables
• Performing opening and closing duties
• Resetting tables for the next guests
• Preparing simple food items (e.g., salads, desserts)
• Assisting in the preparation of cold food items
• Maintaining cleanliness in assigned areas

Required:

• Proven experience as a server
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English to effectively communicate and complete required tasks, including training and documentation

Preferred:

• Previous customer service experience
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
• Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems
• Friendly and communicative with strong interpersonal skills
• High school diploma or equivalent (certification in food services is a plus)
