Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and established guidelines.

Licensed RN in Georgia in good standing with BLS is required; BSN and additional Life Support credentials are preferred to support specialized units across Atlanta and its communities. The role emphasizes collaboration, communication, coordination of care, and empowerment of patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Licensed RN in Georgia in good standing.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and established guidelines.

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The Northside Hospital Staff Registered Professional Nurse manages patient care of an assigned group of patients in accordance with the philosophy and policies of Northside Hospital. Additionally, the practice of all professional nurses at Northside Hospital reflects the values of collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment.

REQUIRED

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
2. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).

PREFERRED

1. BSN degree
2. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
3. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
