Job summary

Northside Hospital in the Atlanta area seeks a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.

The RN must be licensed in Georgia in good standing and hold a current BLS certification; a BSN degree and additional life-support credentials are preferred for certain units. Northside emphasizes collaboration, communication, and empowerment in patient care.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as an RN in Georgia in good standing.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and guidelines.
• Manages patient care for an assigned group of patients in line with Northside Hospital philosophy and policies.

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The Northside Hospital Staff Registered Professional Nurse manages patient care of an assigned group of patients in accordance with the philosophy and policies of Northside Hospital. Additionally, the practice of all professional nurses at Northside Hospital reflects the values of collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment.

REQUIRED

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
2. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).

PREFERRED

1. BSN degree
2. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
3. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
