Job Summary

Summary: Takes food and beverage orders and efficiently delivers items to dining room guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Promptly and warmly greet guests; take food and beverages efficiently, following established steps of service.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards. Follow up to assist with additional needs or requests.
• Demonstrate understanding of menu items and ingredients. Advise guests on food and drink combinations; accommodate requests and note preferences. Knowledge of specialized diets and allergens is a plus.
• Communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special requests.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others. Remain flexible and patient when interacting with guests and staff.
• Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared.
• Address complaints or issues promptly; relay relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensure the dining area is properly set up before and after service, keeping the area clean and meeting sanitation standards.
• Operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
• Collaborate with staff during special events and functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
