Your Position
Reports to Restaurant Assistant Manager and Restaurant Manager and is relieved as per vacation schedule.
What You Need To Do
- Provide friendly, efficient and professional service in all Food and Beverage venues onboard.
- Welcome and say goodbye to all guests visiting any venue.
- Take food and drink orders and deliver them as per standards and hygiene procedures.
- Explain menus and beverages, adhering to set recipes and standards.
- Ensure dietary requests are fulfilled and inform guests of their choices at every meal.
- Organize your work and manage your time according to daily programs and schedules.
- Maintain cleanliness of glassware, china, cutlery, and overall department hygiene.
- Store supplies and equipment properly and cooperate in stock inventories.
- Minimize breakage and handle supplies and equipment according to guidelines.
- Report any damages or defects to the Restaurant Manager.
- Participate in loading supplies and luggage distribution if scheduled.
- Report special requests and complaints immediately to the Restaurant Manager.
- Assist in preparing the ship at the end of the season.
- Contribute to meetings and briefings.
- Practice the “Up serve” approach to enhance guest experience and onboard profit.
- Comply with maximum working hours law and record them accurately.
- Participate in training, safety drills, and assist other departments as needed.
What You Need To Know
- Luxury culinary skills gained in four and five-star hotels and/or ships.
- Best practices and trends in food and beverage.
- English language proficiency.
