Job Summary

Summary: Takes food and beverage orders and efficiently delivers items to dining room guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Promptly and warmly greet guests; take food and beverage orders efficiently, following established steps of service.
2. Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards; follow up to assist with additional needs.
3. Understand menu items and ingredients; advise guests on food and drink pairings; accommodate preferences; be knowledgeable about diets and allergens.
4. Communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special requests.
5. Exhibit excellent communication skills; remain flexible and patient with guests and staff.
6. Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
7. Maintain a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
8. Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
9. Address complaints promptly; report issues to supervisor.
10. Prepare dining area before and after service; keep area clean and meet sanitation standards.
11. Operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, and coffee makers.
12. Coordinate with other departments during special events and functions.
13. Perform additional duties as assigned.
