Job summary

Yorktown Assisted Living Residence is hiring for a per-diem Evening shift position (4pm-7pm) with weekend work in Cortlandt, NY. The new rate is $17.50 per hour. Benefits included: 401(k), health, dental, and vision insurance, plus paid time off.

Responsibilities include assisting the cook, preparing and serving meals, adhering to federal and state long-term care regulations, and maintaining dining and kitchen areas. Prior dietary service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in dietary service is preferred.

• Perform defined work using dietary utensils, supplies and equipment as assigned by the Dietary Supervisor.
• Meet scheduled meal and snack times.
• Provide assistance to the cook in the preparation and service of meals.
• Follow Federal, State and local long term care regulations and Dietary Department policies and procedures.
• Follow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduled.
• Set dining rooms for resident service.
• Serve meals.
• Stock pantry and cupboards with dishware and food items as per par levels.
• Attend in-service educational programs.
