Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience in labor management relations involving rates of pay, hours of work, conditions of employment and regulations of wages.
• Substitutions allowed include college coursework and advanced degrees as described in the job posting.
• Experience in payroll, timekeeping, or accounting is considered relevant.
• Knowledge of wage and hour laws and payroll methods is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Audit payroll and time records for compliance with wage and hour laws.
• Investigate complaints and interview employees, employers, and others.
• Collect data in wage rate surveys across occupations and industries.
• Prepare reports and assemble evidence for hearings or court proceedings.
• Transcribe wage claims and support hearings with accurate documentation.
