Job summary

Headway Technologies in Milpitas, CA is seeking a Probe Technician to support the manufacturing and engineering teams in the probe area, assist wafer fab production, and document processes. This full-time role requires adherence to SPC controls and disposition of wafers for rework.

You will collect data, analyze findings, collaborate with engineering to implement changes, train operators, and participate in continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Technology; 2 years semiconductor experience.
• Two years in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of electronics and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to the manufacturing and engineering teams in the probe area.
• Supports wafer fab production and manufacturing processes to ensure wafers are processed efficiently and cost effectively.
• Reviews and documents processes; collaborates with Engineering to implement changes with minimal disruption.
• Dispositions abnormal or atypical wafers for rework; ensures prompt rework completion.
• Collects and analyzes data and recommends corrective action when needed.
• Maintains process controls using SPC; prepares charts and graphs as required.
• Assists with troubleshooting tools and process issues in the probe area.
• Participates in improvements to procedures or processes for continuous improvement.
