Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled engineer to deploy first-of-a-kind wafer probing capabilities and drive continuous improvement across global manufacturing sites. You will collaborate with teams worldwide, address quality and performance issues, and develop new methods to resolve manufacturing challenges.

The role requires strong modeling of manufacturing data, DOE practices, and hands-on experience with wafer probe equipment. International travel is mandatory.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Strong fundamentals in mechanical and electrical engineering.
  • Experience with statistics, data analysis, and DOE.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy evaluations of Wafer Probers, Testers & Probe Cards.
  • Collaborate with global teams to establish best-known methods for wafer probe.
  • Engage equipment suppliers & vendors to address quality and performance issues.
  • Establish manufacturing metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and deploy new methods to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Generate equipment specifications to meet safety and capability requirements.
  • Perform statistical analysis of manufacturing data to ensure quality.
  • Prepare and present information to manufacturing teams and Engineering Managers.
  • Maintain collaboration with peer groups across Manufacturing, Test/Process Engineering, and QA.
  • Initiate and chair meetings with global manufacturing sites; position requires international travel.

Job description

Deploy first-of-a-kind equipment and process capabilities through evaluations of Wafer Probers, Testers & Probe Cards. Collaborate with global teams to establish and implement best-known methods for wafer probe. Engage equipment suppliers & vendors to address issues of quality and performance. Establish manufacturing metrics to drive continuous improvement of equipment performance and processes. Develop and deploy new methods or processes as vital to resolve manufacturing issues. Generate equipment specifications to meet safety and capability requirements of global manufacturing environments. Perform statistical analysis of manufacturing data to ensure that processes meet required quality standards. Effectively prepare and present information to manufacturing teams and Engineering Managers. Maintain a strong collaborative relationship with peer groups in other functional areas including Manufacturing, Test Engineering, Process Engineering, and Quality Assurance. Initiate and chair meetings with global manufacturing sites in support of your objectives. Position requires international travel.

Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field. Position also requires:
