Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to perform wafer fabrication in a cleanroom, troubleshoot process issues, and collaborate with engineering on corrective actions. The role requires attention to safety, data recording, and process improvement.

Shifts include 3:00 PM–11:30 PM with a training period on 1st shift (7:00 AM–3:30 PM) for 3–4 months. Candidates should have a High School diploma and 3–5 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3–5 years of wafer fabrication or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with Diffusion, Photolithography, Wet Etch preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate standard wafer fabrication equipment per procedures and safety guidelines.
• Record and enter operational data into logs or systems.
• Diagnose process discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering to communicate findings and resolve issues.
• May perform other related duties as assigned.
