Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to perform wafer fabrication, troubleshoot process issues, and collaborate with engineering to ensure quality and productivity. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and data integrity in a cleanroom environment.

The shift runs 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with a 3–4 month training period on 1st shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM). A high school diploma is required and 3–5 years of experience in wafer fabrication is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years in wafer fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with diffusion, photolithography, and wet etch preferred.
• Experience handling hazardous chemicals preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety protocols, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Operate standard wafer fabrication equipment per procedures.
• Record and enter operational data accurately.
• Diagnose process discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to communicate findings and improvements.
• Maintain safety protocols and OSHA compliance.
