Job summary

Volt is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Technician in Hillsboro, OR to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wafer fabrication equipment in a cleanroom, wearing cleanroom attire and PPE as required.

This full-time direct-hire role requires an associate degree and 3+ years in high-volume semiconductor maintenance, with strong troubleshooting, teamwork, and documentation skills. Shift is a compressed day shift Thu-Sat with alternating Wednesdays.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent military training in a technical discipline.
• 3+ years in a high-volume semiconductor environment maintaining tools.
• Adherence to all safety protocols and strong collaboration to drive improvements.
• Solid mechanical and electronic troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable with computers.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance on wafer fabrication equipment.
• Work with management to prioritize tasks and improve equipment availability.
• Collaborate with peers, supervision, and engineering to identify root causes and apply learnings.
• Document all work performed on equipment and attend shift pass-down meetings.
• Wear cleanroom attire; work in a cleanroom environment and wear PPE as required.
