Job summary

Keysight Technologies, based in Santa Rosa, California, is seeking an R&D Process Technician to support high-frequency center wafer fabrication and process development. The role focuses on plasma dry etch, PECVD, wet etch, plating, and related IC processes in a high-tech, collaborative environment.

You will assist engineers, run process qualifications, collect data, analyze it in Excel, and help drive continuous improvements in semiconductor fabrication.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduate with strong aptitude in science and math; B.S. in STEM preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in plasma etching, plasma deposition, wet etch, metal deposition, plating, and related wafer fab processes.
• Hands-on experience with advanced semiconductor device fabrication required; III-V processing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of statistical process control and design of experiments valued.
• Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills for teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform plasma etch, PECVD, wet etch, or plating on production and engineering wafers.
• Run routine system qualifications including particle checks and process characterization.
• Enter and analyze data; perform basic SPC tasks and summarize in spreadsheets.
• Oversee test wafers required for process qualification.
• Assist engineers with NTI, corrective actions, and continuous improvement projects.
• Train operators and assist with training certifications.
