Job summary

Lam Research in the California Bay Area seeks an Assembler to join the Global Products Group, assembling wafer fabrication equipment components in a lean, clean-room setting. You will follow schematics, use hand tools and fixtures to install parts, ensure tolerances, and contribute to quality.

The role requires 1–2 years in mechanical assembly, an associate degree or technical certificate, strong English communication, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of mechanical or related assembly experience
• Associates Degree, Technical Certificate, or Diploma in Engineering or related field
• Effective communication skills, written and verbal, in English
• Able to work 12-hour shifts in fast paced environment
• Proficiency in computer-based data systems, applications, and Microsoft Office
• Proficient use of hand tools and electronic equipment for assembly and maintenance
• Able to lift up to 35 pounds and move parts/equipment
• Distinguish wires by color, size, markings

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install parts/hardware for wafer fabrication equipment using instructions, schematics, hand tools, and fixtures
• Adapt to changing priorities and rework requirements to maintain workflow
• Verify correct part delivery and perform visual inspections before installation
• Support audits with checks and leak tests as needed
• Follow safety guidelines and use PPE and LOTO procedures
• Provide clear, timely communications on status, tasks, and shifts
