Job summary

EY is seeking a WAF Operations Solution Engineer to configure and maintain web application firewalls, monitor traffic, analyze security events, and respond to incidents for client applications. Youll work with Cloudflare, Imperva, and Terraform to automate security controls, collaborate with incident response teams, and help drive security posture across engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in web application security operations focusing on WAF management.
• Hands-on experience with WAF solutions such as Cloudflare and Imperva.
• Proficiency using Terraform for infrastructure automation (IaC).
• Strong understanding of web app protocols, security principles, and best practices.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems for incident management.
• Certifications like CISSP or Security+ are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Configure and optimize WAF solutions to protect web applications.
• Provide ongoing operational coverage for web application firewalls.
• Monitor application traffic and security events for threats and vulnerabilities.
• Analyze security incidents and perform root cause analysis and remediation.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate and respond to incidents.
• Develop and maintain WAF policies, rules, and documentation.
