Job summary

EY is seeking a WAF Operations Solution Engineer to implement and manage Web Application Firewall solutions, protecting client applications from cyber threats. You will configure, monitor, and optimize WAFs (Cloudflare/Imperva) while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture and automate deployments using Terraform.

The role focuses on change requests, incident response, and ongoing security improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Cybersecurity or related field preferred.
1–2 years of experience in web application security operations with a focus on WAF management.
Hands-on experience with WAF solutions such as Cloudflare and Imperva.
Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure automation is preferred.
Certifications such as CISSP or Security+ are a plus.
Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems.

Responsibilities

Configure and optimize WAF solutions to establish effective security controls for web applications.
Provide ongoing operational coverage of web application firewalls, ensuring proper function and performance.
Monitor application traffic and security events to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
Analyze security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement remediation.
Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate and respond to security incidents.
Develop and maintain WAF policies, rules, and documentation to meet best practices and compliance.
