Job summary

EY is seeking a WAF Operations Solution Engineer to implement and manage web application firewall solutions protecting client applications from cyber threats. You will monitor traffic, analyze events, and respond to incidents to maintain security and performance.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve security posture using Cloudflare, Imperva, and Terraform for automated deployments and policy management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in web application security operations, focusing on WAF management.
• Hands-on experience with WAF solutions such as Cloudflare and Imperva is required.
• Proficiency in using Terraform for infrastructure automation is preferred.
• Strong understanding of web application protocols and security practices.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and incident management.
• Certifications like CISSP or Security+ are a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Configure and optimize WAF solutions to establish security controls for web applications.
• Provide ongoing operational coverage of web application firewalls.
• Monitor application traffic and security events to identify threats.
• Conduct root cause analysis and remediation of security incidents.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate and respond to incidents.
• Develop and maintain WAF policies, rules, and documentation.
• Support security audits and assessments.
• Stay current with threats and technologies to enhance security posture.
• Utilize WAFs including Cloudflare and Imperva and apply Terraform IaC for deployment.
