Job summary

Ernst & Young LLP is seeking a WAF Operations Solution Engineer to implement and manage Web Application Firewall defenses for client applications. You will monitor traffic, analyze events, and respond to incidents while coordinating with cross‑functional teams to strengthen security controls.

The role requires hands‑on experience with Cloudflare and Imperva, Terraform for automation, and a strong understanding of ITIL processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in web application security operations focusing on WAF management.
• Hands-on experience with WAF solutions such as Cloudflare and Imperva is required.
• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure automation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and optimize WAF solutions to protect web applications.
• Provide ongoing operational coverage of web application firewalls and monitoring.
• Analyze security events and incidents; perform root-cause analysis and remediation.
• Collaborate with incident response teams and other functions to improve security posture.
• Develop and maintain WAF policies and documentation to meet compliance requirements.
