Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking candidates for a 2nd shift warehouse role in Texas. Starting wage is $19.05/hour with a $1.50 shift premium and overtime as required.

Responsibilities include operating sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks and overhead hoists, handling receiving and shipping, and using scanners to update orders. Eligible candidates must pass pre-employment screenings (background, drug, medical questionnaire).

• Report defects and needed repairs.
• Use pneumatic/power tools to build wooden shipping containers and apply paint/rust preventative.
• Carry out housekeeping and other duties as assigned.

Shifts

• Shift/hours: 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm ($19.05/hour + $1.50 shift premium) (overtime as required depending on business need)

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Utilizing and inspecting heavy equipment including sit down fork truck, pallet jack and overhead hoists.
• Safely perform the material handling and warehousing processes required in the receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing, and shipping of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Operate handheld scanner to access and update information for receiving, counting and order processing.
• Willingness to be trained on and operate order pickers, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and overhead hoists. Keep in mind, all available positions will operate equipment.
• Report defects and need for repairs.
• Utilize pneumatic tools and/or power tools to build and construct wooden shipping containers.
• Utilize tools for the application of paint and rust preventative.
• Perform housekeeping functions as required.
• Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.

• Agility: Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds individually, walk approximately 10 to 12 miles per day, sit, stand, squat, and bend over repetitively and consistently, throughout your shift with or without reasonable accommodation.
