Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Waco, TX is hiring a Warehouse Associate for 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 6am-2pm) with starting pay of $19.05 per hour. Overtime opportunities exist at 1.5x, and benefits start day one.

You will operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment, perform receiving, packing, and shipping tasks, and keep work areas safe and organized. Ideal candidates bring a safety mindset, reliability, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including sit-down forklift, pallet jack and overhead hoists.
• Handle receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing and shipping of parts and materials.
• Use handheld scanner to access and update information for orders.
• Be trained to operate order pickers, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts and hoists.
• Report defects and needs for repairs.
• Assemble wooden shipping containers with pneumatic/power tools.
• Apply paint and rust preventative as required.
• Maintain housekeeping and perform other duties as assigned.

Caterpillar’s Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is seeking talented Warehouse Associates at our Waco Work Tools Facility located at 2100 Orchard Lane Waco, TX 76705.

Shifts:

• Shift/hours: 1st Shift- Monday-Friday 6am - 2pm (overtime may be required depending on business need)Starting Wage: $19.05/ HR

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Utilizing and inspecting heavy equipment including sit down fork truck, pallet jack and overhead hoists.
• Safely perform the material handling and warehousing processes required in the receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing, and shipping of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Operate handheld scanner to access and update information for receiving, counting and order processing.
• Willingness to be trained on and operate order pickers, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and overhead hoists. Keep in mind, all available positions will operate equipment.
• Report defects and need for repairs.
• Utilize pneumatic tools and/or power tools to build and construct wooden shipping containers.
• Utilize tools for the application of paint and rust preventative.
• Perform housekeeping functions as required.
• Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.

• Agility: Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds individually, walk approximately 10 to 12 miles per day, sit, stand, squat, and bend over repetitively and consistently, throughout your shift with or without reasonable accommodation.
