The Captain Aviation role at MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas requires leadership of the flight crew and responsibility for safe aircraft operation under PIC. You will make critical decisions on flight start, weather, weight and balance, and ensure regulatory compliance and on-board documentation.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in related fields, 3000 hours total flight time with 2500 hours multi-engine jet, a type rating for company aircraft, and VIP/VVIP experience; backgrounds

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• At least three (3) years of prior relevant experience in a related field required.
• No FAA violations or at fault accidents or incidents required.
• Must have logged a minimum of 3000 hours of total pilot flight time, 2500 hours of multi-engine jet time, experience operating large-cabin aircraft, and experience in advanced electronic/digital avionics cockpits required.
• Must hold, or be able to hold, a type rating in one or more Company-owned aircraft required.
• Previous experience working in a VVIP setting (preferred).
• Previous experience working in a similar resort setting (preferred).

Responsabilités

• Maintain a culture of safety with efficient procedures in MGM Resorts Aviation.
• Retain final authority for safe operation of the aircraft (FAR 91.3).
• Direct flight crew and ensure duties are understood.
• Ensure aircraft is airworthy and all documents are on board.
• Decide on start, delay, or cancellation of flights as needed.
• Prepare flight plans considering weather, range, weight, and routing.
• Ensure weather, aircraft performance, weight and balance compliance.
• Brief passengers for each phase of flight and ensure emergency equipment is onboard.
• Coordinate maintenance logs and relay discrepancies to maintenance personnel.
• Ensure aircraft is clean and prepared with catering provisions for safety and comfort.
