Job summary

Chenega MIOS SBU seeks a Vulnerability Management Specialist II to support cyber defense analysis and remediation tracking across enterprise systems. The role involves reviewing scans, coordinating with stakeholders, and contributing to reporting and documentation.

Ideal candidates will have a related degree (bachelor’s or master’s), Security+ certification, and an active TS/SCI eligibility, with experience in DoD vulnerability management and ACAS/SCAP tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field with cybersecurity focus.
• Security+ certification is required.
• Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Must pass background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Review basic vulnerability scan outputs and filter false-positives.
• Schedule and execute scans using Nessus/Tenable or approved platforms.
• Collect asset compliance data and patch reports for senior review.
• Document daily scanning and tracking status in tickets and briefs.
• Generate reports using Excel and reporting tools.
• Coordinate remediation activities with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
• Support audit responses and DoD RMF-related documentation.
• Stay current with threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigations.
• Ingest operational taskings into central tracking registers.
