Job summary

AXON Networks is seeking a Security Specialist, Vulnerability Management to establish a risk-based program across cloud, applications, containers, Kubernetes and CPE devices. You will validate findings, prioritize remediation and drive a repeatable security lifecycle with engineering partners.

The role requires hands-on experience with scanning platforms, CVE analysis, and strong communication to technical and leadership audiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in vulnerability management/security engineering roles.
• Ownership of vulnerability-management workflows and remediation processes.
• Strong CVE analysis and risk prioritization skills.
• Experience with enterprise scanning platforms and cloud/container tooling.
• Knowledge of CVE/CWE, NVD, CVSS, SBOMs and vendor advisories.
• Hands-on Linux, networking, containers, Kubernetes, APIs, and cloud infra.
• Ability to read code and package manifests to validate findings.
• Scripting/programming in Python/Go/PowerShell/Bash.
• Strong communication to engineers and leaders.
• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity/CS/engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Inventory attack surface across cloud, apps, containers, and CPEs.
• Design and maintain scans and validation tests; manage safe windows.
• Evaluate tooling (Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7, etc.) and integrate results.
• Analyze CVEs and determine applicability to environment.
• Prioritize remediation by risk, exposure, and controls.
• Create remediation records with owners and SLAs.
• Collaborate with Engineering/DevOps on patches and rollouts.
• Maintain dashboards and reporting for leadership.
• Develop playbooks and standard operating procedures.
