Placements24 is seeking an Information Security Analyst focused on Vulnerability Management to join the security operations team. The role involves identifying, assessing, and prioritizing vulnerabilities across the IT infrastructure and applications, coordinating remediation, and analyzing scan results using Nessus, Qualys, or InsightVM.

The candidate will work with IT teams to ensure timely patching, develop reports, and contribute to policy development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of information security experience focusing on vulnerability management or security operations.
• Hands-on with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7 InsightVM).
• Strong understanding of Windows/Linux, networks, and common vulnerabilities.
• Familiarity with patch management processes and cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
• Security certifications (CompTIA Security+, CEH, GSEC) are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and manage vulnerability scanning across networks and systems.
• Analyze scan results and identify critical/high-risk exposures.
• Prioritize vulnerabilities based on severity and business impact.
• Coordinate remediation with IT ops, admins, and development teams.
• Track remediation progress and verify patch effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain vulnerability status reports and trends.
• Support policy/procedure development for vulnerability management.
• Stay updated on emerging threats and best practices.
