Job Summary: The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring machinery used in the manufacturing process. This role ensures that machines run efficiently, products meet quality standards, and safety protocols are followed. This job profile is intended for support staff that follows established procedures and works under close supervision. Smaller/easier decisions are made autonomously. Summary: Works under limited supervision, sets up and operates machine tools without assistance, following department policy and procedures. Manufactures and reconditions components parts to customer, OEM, and industry standards using conventions, machine tools, including VTL, lathes, milling machines, grinders, etc. Interprets mechanical drawings, blueprints, sketches, and performs precision metal cutting, grinding, shaping and fitting. Constantly measures components, parts and raw materials with precision measuring instruments, gauges and tools.
Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
