Job summary

Cayuse Holdings seeks a Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Systems Engineer to support secure multimedia environments, focusing on VIP and General Officer conferences. You will ensure high-quality audio/video and uninterrupted command and control capabilities in mission-critical settings.

This role requires DoD 8140/8570 IAT II compliance, strong Cisco and cryptographic equipment experience, and the ability to work onsite with a customer-focused mindset and integrity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Systems Engineering, or 10+ years military/civilian operational experience.
  • Active DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II compliant certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE).
  • CCNA Collaboration or Cisco CCT Collaboration (minimum).
  • Crestron Master Programmer/Technologist or Extron AV qualification.
  • Active Secret Clearance, with ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Mastery of Cisco TMS and CMS.
  • Experience integrating cryptographic equipment (TACLANEs, KIVs) into secure VTC enclaves.
  • Advanced understanding of SIP/H.323, QoS, and Visio-based network topologies.
  • Must pass a background check and be able to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, engineer, and maintain server-side infrastructure (CMS, TMS, CUCM, MCUs, AV hardware).
  • Monitor network traffic, manage QoS, and resolve complex routing outages for H.323/SIP.
  • Apply STIGs, manage firewalls, and oversee enterprise COMSEC architecture.
  • Manage COMSEC hardware (TACLANEs) for secure enclaves.
  • Configure bridging resources, manage calendars with Cisco TMS/Outlook to avoid conflicts.
  • Conduct pre-event room sweeps to test dial-in, cameras, and mics.
  • Resolve outages, server crashes, and act as escalation point for Tier I/II issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The VTC Systems Engineer will ensure zero-defect audio/video quality and provide uninterrupted command and control capabilities in mission-critical environments.

The Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Systems Engineer to support seamless operations of secure multimedia environments with a focus on facilitating, monitoring, and troubleshooting VIP and General Officer-level conferences. This position demands a highly skilled professional with a strong technical acumen, a customer-focused mindset, and expertise in enterprise VTC system management. The VTC Systems Engineer will ensure zero-defect audio/video quality and provide uninterrupted command and control capabilities in mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, engineer, and maintain server-side infrastructure, including:
    • Cisco Meeting Server (CMS)
    • Cisco TelePresence Management Suite (TMS)
    • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)
    • Multipoint Control Units (MCUs)
    • Specialized audiovisual hardware.
  • Monitor backend network traffic and collaborate with network operations to manage Quality of Service (QoS), provision enterprise bandwidth allocation, and resolve complex network routing outages and failures for H.323 and SIP traffic.
  • Apply and maintain DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) across all VTC components, manage firewalls, and oversee the enterprise COMSEC architecture.
  • Manage and key COMSEC hardware (e.g., TACLANEs) for secure enclaves.
  • Configure bridging resources (MCUs) and manage room calendars/bridge resources using tools like Cisco TMS or Outlook to prevent scheduling conflicts.
  • Conduct physical sweeps of conference rooms 30 to 60 minutes prior to high-priority events to test dial-in connectivity, cameras, and microphones.
  • Resolve complex network outages, routing failures, and server crashes.
  • Serve as an escalation point for Tier I & II helpdesk tickets regarding in-room issues, such as bad cables, dropped calls, and presentation sharing.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications – Here’s What You Need:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or 10+ years military/civilian operational experience.
  • Active DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II compliant certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE).
  • CCNA Collaboration or Cisco CCT Collaboration (minimum)
  • Crestron Master Programmer, Crestron Technologist, or Extron Authorized Programmer/AV Associate.
  • Active Secret Clearance, with ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
  • Mastery of Cisco TelePresence Management Suite (TMS) and Cisco Meeting Server (CMS).
  • Expertise in the integration of cryptographic equipment (TACLANEs, KIVs) into secure VTC enclaves.
  • Advanced understanding of SIP and H.323 protocols, network traffic analysis, and Quality of Service (QoS) standards.High-level proficiency in drafting technical network topologies using Microsoft Visio.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

  • Strong capacity for end-user education, including conducting "quick-start" orientations for staff officers.

  • CCNP Collaboration, with focus on CUCM, CMS, and TMS.

Working Conditions

  • Comfortable working in tight spaces and conducting physical installations or endpoint replacements in conference environments.

  • Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
