Job summary

Sorenson Communications is seeking a part-time Sign Language Interpreter for VRS in Austin, Texas. The role requires interpreting between ASL and spoken English, with shifts Mon-Sat 7am–7pm MT and a minimum of 10 interpreting hours per month.

Qualifications

• Diploma or better in High School or related field.
• 3 years’ interpreting experience (preferred).
• Interpreter certification (as required by local regulations).
• Ability to pass our skills assessment.

Responsibilities

• Effectively interpret between American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English.
• Maintain compliance with licensure and certification requirements.
• Demonstrate adherence to Sorenson standards, FCC regulations, and RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Complete assigned tasks promptly within approved guidelines.
