Job summary

Sorenson Communications is seeking a Sign Language Interpreter for VRS in Tucson, AZ. This part-time role requires interpreting between ASL and spoken English, with opportunities to transfer to other centers across the US.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Interpreter certification as required by local regulations.
• 3 years’ experience interpreting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret effectively between ASL and spoken English.
• Maintain compliance with licensure/certification requirements.
• Demonstrate compliance with Sorenson standards and FCC regulations.
• Complete tasks and paperwork promptly and within guidelines.
• Maintain a flexible work schedule to meet VRS industry demands.
• Learn and implement new technologies.
