Job summary

Learning Care is seeking a Lead VPK Teacher to provide high-quality early childhood education for 4-year-olds in a licensed preschool setting. You will plan, assess, and instruct based on each child’s needs and VPK requirements.

You will also mentor fellow teachers, promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children, and oversee curriculum implementation while ensuring compliance with licensing guidelines and company standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• CDA, Associate degree or higher in education, or Florida Child Care Professional Certificate.
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Ability to meet state education requirements and center policies.

Responsibilities

• Create, develop, and implement fun, interactive learning experiences while mentoring fellow teachers.
• Care for the social, physical, and intellectual growth of preschool children.
• Lead classroom management and curriculum implementation, ensuring compliance with licensing guidelines and company standards.

The VPK, Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program, prepares early learners for success in kindergarten and beyond. VPK helps build a strong foundation for school using educational material corresponding to various stages in a child's development. The VPK Lead Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing 4-year old's, based on needs of each child, and the requirements of the program.

As a Lead VPK Teacher, you’ll:

• Create! Develop fun, interactive learning experiences while mentoring fellow Teachers.
• Care! Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the preschool children in your class.
• Call the shots! Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation, plus be an expert on all licensing guidelines, company standards and VPK program requirements.
• Communicate! Build sincere relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote achievement for the child and to support your center’s success.
