La Petite Academy in Kissimmee, FL is hiring a Lead VPK Teacher to plan, assess, and instruct 4-year-olds in alignment with VPK guidelines. You will create engaging activities, mentor fellow teachers, and ensure program compliance with licensing standards.

Qualifications

• CDA/degree in education or Florida Child Care Professional Certificate required.
• Experience leading a classroom and creating lesson plans.
• Ability to meet state education requirements and childcare center rules.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and be active with children.

The VPK, Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program, prepares early learners for success in kindergarten and beyond. VPK helps build a strong foundation for school using educational material corresponding to various stages in a child's development. The VPK Lead Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing 4-year old's, based on needs of each child, and the requirements of the program.

As a Lead VPK Teacher, you’ll:

• Create! Develop fun, interactive learning experiences while mentoring fellow Teachers.
• Care! Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the preschool children in your class.
• Call the shots! Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation, plus be an expert on all licensing guidelines, company standards and VPK program requirements.
• Communicate! Build sincere relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote achievement for the child and to support your center’s success.
