Job summary

Learning Care Group, Inc. seeks a Lead VPK Teacher to plan, assess and instruct four-year-olds per VPK requirements. You will manage the classroom, implement curriculum, and mentor fellow teachers in a licensed early-education center.

You will promote children’s social, physical, and cognitive growth, build strong family relationships, and ensure compliance with state guidelines while contributing to center success.

Qualifications

• CDA, Associates degree or higher in education or Florida Child Care Professional Certificate
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans
• The ability to meet state requirements for education and our childcare center requirements
• The ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

The VPK, Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program, prepares early learners for success in kindergarten and beyond. VPK helps build a strong foundation for school using educational material corresponding to various stages in a child's development. The VPK Lead Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing 4-year old's, based on needs of each child, and the requirements of the program.

As a Lead VPK Teacher, you’ll:
