Job summary

Deutsche Bank in New York is seeking a Workout Credit Officer - Vice President to manage credit risk for underperforming or distressed clients. You will analyze complex transactions, lead workout strategies, and ensure compliance with credit policies and regulations while collaborating with Workout teams and deal teams.

In this role, you will oversee a diversified portfolio, deliver risk insights to senior management, and guide junior officers on transaction workflows and regulatory changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Moderate experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or related financial roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, communication and negotiation skills, knowledge of loan origination and workout processes.
• Experience in commercial real estate or distressed asset class is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a diversified portfolio of distressed assets, including CRE and leveraged loans, with credit evaluations.
• Design strategies to mitigate risk and maximize recovery, including debt restructuring and insolvency.
• Support audits, ensure policy adherence, and maintain documentation.
• Work with risk management, legal, and deal teams to execute workout plans and present findings.
• Guide junior credit officers on workflows, policy and regulatory changes.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on portfolio risk and performance.
