Job summary

Morgan Stanley's Technology division seeks a Principal Software Engineer (VP) in New York to lead end-to-end delivery of WM risk and compliance technology. You will oversee teams across agile squads, align with the WM Risk and Compliance roadmap, and ensure governance.

You will collaborate with risk, compliance, product and engineering, translating complex requirements into scalable solutions while mentoring staff and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of technology delivery experience, with at least 5+ years in Wealth Management domain.
• Strong analytical, attention-to-detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of technology & software design; ability to partner with technical architects.
• Proven success in collaborative, team-centric environments and agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of technology solutions aligned with WMMT objectives, overseeing teams and squads.
• Collaborate with WM Risk, WM Compliance, product, and engineering to define and execute the Technology Roadmap and supervisory controls.
• Coordinate with peers to manage the pipeline for WM Risk and Compliance initiatives from discovery to implementation.
• Engage with SMEs, developers, scrum masters, and product owners in planning, sprints, refinement, reviews and retrospectives.
• Deliver technical and client-facing support, including empowering Litigation with discovery processes and resolving project-impacting issues.
• Manage delivery timelines, risks, and dependencies across concurrent workstreams with governance standards.
• Translate complex technical concepts into actionable business insights for senior stakeholders.
• Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the delivery team.
• Lead in analyzing and interpreting business requirements to ensure precision in project requirements and solutions.
• Develop and maintain expert knowledge of WM Risk and Compliance platforms and regulatory implementations.
