Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New York seeks a Valuation Controller for the VCG Rates team.

You will perform independent price verification, valuation adjustments, and fair value measurement across the North America Rates portfolio, partnering with cross-functional teams to strengthen valuation controls and regulatory compliance. The role focuses on implementing control tools, reviewing pricing processes, and supporting business, risk, and finance initiatives to drive efficiency and accurate fair

Qualifications

7+ years of related experience.
Bachelor's degree required.
Ability to understand complex products and analyze transaction and process flows.
Understanding of valuation concepts for financial products and derivatives; basic accounting knowledge.
Analytical and quantitative aptitude.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all aspects of the valuation control framework for the Rates business, including independent price verification, valuation and prudent valuation adjustments, valuation adjustments stress and fair value measurement.
Review complex transactions to ensure appropriate constraints and controls.
Identify valuation risks and drive methodology enhancements for accurate controls.
Partner with Quantitative Research and Model Review Groups to assess model limitations and implement compensating controls.
Own relationships with Front Office and key Finance, Technology and Risk partners for month-end analysis and new products.
Participate in group and Finance projects and support regulatory exams and inquiries.
