Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New York seeks a Valuation Controller in the VCG Rates team to support the North America Rates portfolio, performing independent price verification and fair value adjustments, and partnering with businesses to strengthen valuation controls.

The role involves implementing control tools, reviewing pricing, and contributing to regulatory examinations while collaborating with Front Office, Finance, QR and Technology to drive efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Ability to understand complex products and analyze transaction and process flows.
• Understanding of valuation concepts for financial products and derivatives; basic accounting.
• Analytical and quantitative aptitude.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of the valuation control framework for the Rates business, including independent price verification, valuation and prudent valuation adjustments, valuation adjustments stress and fair value measurement.
• Review complex transactions to ensure appropriate constraints/controls.
• Identify valuation risks and drive methodology enhancements; improve control efficiency.
• Partner with Quantitative Research and Model Review Groups to assess model limitations and implement controls.
• Own relationships with Front Office and Finance, Technology and Risk partners for month-end results and new products analysis.
• Participate in group-wide projects and regulatory exams; address inquiries.
