Job summary

International Justice Mission (IJM) seeks a Vice President of US Government Partnerships in the Washington, DC area. The role leads a high-impact strategy to activate legislative and executive branch support for IJM’s model of change and protection programs for the vulnerable.

The position reports to the North America Regional President, with hybrid work (onsite Tue/Thu) and requires right to work in the US. A senior leader with deep government policy experience will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree required.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant work experience.
• Expertise addressing forced labor and human rights abuse in multinational supply chains.
• Proven experience working in government or shaping government policy.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with US Government structures and development assistance mechanisms.
• Superior leadership with a proven track record of building strong, aligned teams.
• Proven ability to work with a diverse team of experts.
• Excellent cross-cultural leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with Salesforce preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a disciplined team of professionals around a comprehensive strategy to move US government institutions to partner, invest and champion IJM’s model of change.
• Embed IJM’s model of change in US foreign aid strategies and legislative priorities.
• Engage US Embassies to secure resources and influence to advance programmatic goals in host countries.
• Build and develop a highly effective, deeply engaged team that embodies IJM’s cultural values.
• Recruit, develop, retain, and promote diverse, exceptional talent.
• Lead activation strategies and communication to align with governance objectives.
