Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Vice President, Transportation to lead strategic direction, operational performance, and financial results across our transportation network.

This executive role drives scalable strategies, customer-focused solutions, and disciplined cost management alongside business leaders and functional partners. This hybrid role is based in Fort Lauderdale, with options in Irving, TX or High Point, NC and involves travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related field.
• MBA or equivalent preferred.
• Certifications such as CSCMP, CLTD, CPSM, Six Sigma, Lean preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in transportation or logistics.
• Strong background in network design, carrier management, and TMS.
• Proven experience leading large teams with P&L responsibility.
• Exposure to transportation compliance and safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall transportation strategy aligned with business goals.
• Lead transportation operations including fleet, brokerage, and network optimization.
• Deliver financial performance through revenue growth, cost optimization, and margins.
• Manage significant transportation revenue, budgets, and profitability outcomes.
• Build executive-level customer relationships and partner on innovative solutions.
• Drive operational excellence with metrics, tech adoption, and standardization.
• Lead and coach a high-performing leadership team and strengthen succession plans.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and governance requirements across operations.
