Job summary

Wood Mackenzie Inc. through its LandGate division is seeking an experienced VP, Head of Transmission Products to lead the development of transmission offerings (ATC and Offtake) and provide technical leadership supporting sales efforts.

Ideal candidates have executive leadership in data center, infrastructure, or renewable energy and a proven transmission track record in the US. Responsibilities include supervising product development, guiding power flow and interconnection workflows,

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of high voltage electrical system experience, preferably with a utility, system operator or independent power producer.
Minimum of 2 years experience with managing the transmission interconnection process for power plants (wind, solar, or thermal).
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar engineering background) with an emphasis on Power Systems preferred; Professional Engineer (Electrical) license preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead product development and supervise the transmission product team.
Collaborate with client success, sales, and development teams to set priorities for product development.
Lead the continued development of complex power flow, interconnection, and transmission planning workflows.
Integrate datasets including generator, large load interconnection requests, transmission infrastructure, and market data to keep analyses current.
Develop and validate AI-based workflows for renewable, storage, data center, and large load developers.
Provide technical expertise on injection and offtake capacity for interconnection processes and grid integration.
